Business Travel Weather

This source we can recommend: their forecasts and a look out of the window here in Pyongyang often correspond.

Korea has 300 safe sunny days a year, but this is tricky: The difference of temperature in daytime and at night can be - in spring, autumn and in winter - drastic,  up to 20 centigrade!

Korea is also called: "The Country of the Morning Cold". So some warm clothes for a walk after sunset should be good, at least as reserve.

Spring: After middle of April till middle of June good for travel, not very cold, mostly sunny.

Summer: From middle of June till end of August there should be tropical heat, high moisture (up to 95%) and torrent warm rain - alas - that seems to change! The last few years saw less moisture (between 50 % and 70%) and also the monsoon seems to be subject to climate change - it rains less.

For protocoll: the North Korean protocoll sees for the warm season (middle of June till end of August) casual clothes also in business talks (white short-sleeved shirt without necktie). But in Korea one is never "overdressed": a dark suite with necktie will always do.

Autumn: From middle of August till first decade of November friendly, sunny, few rain - probably the best season for business travel too.

Winter: humidity mostly poor (down to 10%), mostly dry, cold, few snow exept in the northern part of North Korea.
Because of poor heating in official places (partly in hotels too) the Korean side often likes to postpone all not abolutely necessary business travels to DPR of Korea between December and end of March.

For travellers with some circulation/heart problems: in winter high pressure and low pressure often and quickly change. In case of doubt leave this season out.
